Priceless — A Reflection on Worth and True Love

Priceless — A Reflection on Worth and True Love

Some things in life are discovered, not because they were hidden… but because no one else was looking closely enough.

In “Priceless”, what begins as a simple observation of a stone becomes a revelation of value, identity, and truth. What others dismiss as ordinary, one man recognizes as extraordinary. Beneath the rough exterior lies something rare, something untouched… something sacred.

But this isn’t just a story about a stone.

It’s about you.

The ruby hidden within the fallen star represents a truth many struggle to accept: real value isn’t assigned by the world—it’s embedded by design. Too often, people are mishandled, overlooked, or even damaged by those who fail to recognize their worth. And sometimes, the greatest danger isn’t being unseen… it’s being possessed, controlled, or diminished by someone who mistakes value for ownership.

“Priceless” draws a clear line between admiration and control, between love and possession. A real man does not confine what is beautiful. He does not dim what was created to shine. He protects without imprisoning. He honors without claiming ownership over the soul of another.

The message is direct: anything truly valuable should never be abused, hidden, or treated as disposable.

This piece also confronts a difficult reality—many confuse control with care, and silence with peace. But love does not harm. Love does not manipulate. Love does not break what it claims to cherish.

There is also liberation here. The cocoon. The waiting. The quiet endurance. And then, the decision. The moment where you choose to leave what confines you and step into what you were always meant to become.

A butterfly does not ask permission to fly.

You were never meant to remain in a place that failed to see your worth.

Excerpt from “Priceless”

“The ruby found inside, the star that fell from heaven is you…
No price tag could ever be placed. You are worth billions more than thousands of rubies combined…
You are indeed Priceless.”

💬 Reflection: Have you ever stayed in a place or with someone who failed to recognize your true worth—and what did it take for you to finally see it for yourself?

The Present Smells Like a Rose: A Poetic Masterclass in Grace and Resilience by KPC  Some poems don’t ask for attention. They earn it—line by line, breath by breath.
