Overcoming Anger and Resentment: A Lesson on Trigger Management and Choosing Love

Overcoming Anger & Resentment: Recognize Your Triggers

In my Anger Management class, I often share a story that resonates universally. Think of your body as a weapon, like a rifle. Anger can be expressed verbally or physically. I use this analogy with the anger scale (0–10): 0–3 low, 8–10 high. Words and actions released in anger leave lasting impacts. Awareness allows you to pause, breathe, and make conscious choices.

Every person has triggers. Awareness is your first tool. As I often reflect in my poem "Sensitivity":

"The angriest bull to tame is the one within. Great power under subjection. The character of a real man who is indeed meek."

Just like the “angriest bull” within, your inner reactions can be tempered through pause, reflection, and choice. Ask yourself: Who am I? What is my trigger? Reflect on whether triggers that provoke anger in you mirror how you treat others. Recognize your flaws before criticizing.

THINK… PAUSE… BREATHE… THINK… PAUSE… BREATHE…

“Sticks and stones break bones, words can hurt and forever change lives.” Awareness, reflection, and conscious action empower us to transform emotional triggers into opportunities for growth.

Have you noticed moments when your “inner bull” took over? How did you regain control? Share your story to inspire others.

The Present Smells Like a Rose: A Poetic Masterclass in Grace and Resilience

The Present Smells Like a Rose: A Poetic Masterclass in Grace and Resilience by KPC  Some poems don’t ask for attention. They earn it—line by line, breath by breath. In this latest feature from Krafty Page ChronicleS , Vo Thi Nhu Mai delivers a piece that doesn’t just sit on the page. It moves. It carries weight. It reminds you what quiet strength really looks like. “The Present Smells Like a Rose” is not just poetry—it’s presence. A Journey Through the Stanzas The opening doesn’t hesitate. It establishes identity with clarity and intention: “She enters the world with steady light / History learns her footsteps by heart.” That’s not introduction—that’s declaration. This is a woman who doesn’t wait to be recognized. She becomes the standard. “Steady light” isn’t loud, but it’s undeniable. It doesn’t flicker for approval. It remains. Labour, Culture, and Courage The strength in this piece isn’t one-dimensional. It’s layered, ...
